AGM Oct ’19

Today was our Annual General Meeting, which was very successful and resulted in us now having a committee of nine ladies. Eight are continuing to serve from 2018/19 and one is brand new. We’d like to welcome Tina on board and look forward to working with her over the coming year.

A huge ‘Thank you’ is offered to Pauline, who has single-handedly made a beautiful poppy wreath on behalf of the group, which will be laid at the Bradley Stoke War Memorial next month. For further information about the war memorial, please see the link: https://www.warmemorialsonline.org.uk/memorial/168173

Unfortuately the featured picture, taken on a phone, is a little blurred, but I hope it’s clear enough for you all to see that every poppy has been expertly knitted in a fabulously bright red yarn.

After the serious business of the meeting was concluded, we enjoyed a very tricky, cryptic quiz; all about sweets!
